single bet calculator

OK — been using this thing for something like six months now and it's stuck on my phone, reckon I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I'm UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn't ever figure out what an ew return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I'd just guess and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — type in stake and odds and it spits out the return with no faffing, either odds format. It also handles the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that's where I'd always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it's here single calculator bet and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that actually made a difference was the nerdier bits. The odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and there's the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I'm splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. The design looks pretty plain — zero frills, it's clearly function over form. On my phone it's fine though the acca grid are a squeeze. And no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.
Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it's saved me a fair few "wait, that's it?" moments.
