single bet calculator

Right — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. I'm UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was actually embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the part I use most — type in the price and your stake and you get returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it's here sports betting vig calculator — free, no signup.

One thing that really changed how I bet were the geekier bits. There's an odds-to-probability thing that shows how much the bookie's taking, plus a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too when I'm splitting a race.

It's not perfect mind. The interface feels pretty plain — zero flash, which honestly I don't mind but some will. On my phone it works but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there's no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.

Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted.
